January 23 meeting

Most of today's meeting was going over the presentation. They practiced walking into the room, setting up and presenting their project in the allotted time. AwosomeGirl and JackStone wrote the board that will help with the presentation.
The rest of the meeting dealt with finding the marks for the Find the Agreement.

Great Teamwork!!

FLL Scrimmage

This was a big practice round for the Robot Rampagers. The scrimmage in Linthicum, MD was a great way to prepare for the State Tournament. It had three rounds and they improved each round. The team successfully completed the Find the Agreement mission twice. They were the only team to attempt that mission.
The RR's also had a cheering section from the Jr. Robot Rampagers! By the end of the day, The Robot Rampagers had the highest score for that day!!

Great Job!!!

January 16 Meeting

This meeting was really helpful for the team. The first part of the day dealt with the project presentation. They now have a full script for their "Are You Smarter Than A Beekeeper" presentation for the judges. They ran through it a couple time within the time limit of five minutes.

The rest of the day was spent with the robot. They did trial runs that would prepare them for the tournament. They had the driver and 'bucketeer' and the remaining members served as judges. They were timed and tallied up the points.

Great Teamwork!!!!
This the recording of their Theme Song Are You Smarter Than A Beekeeper.

January 9th

The Robot Rampagers have been working hard at both the programming and presentation. Today AwsomeGirl and Thomas were working on a program for their robot. BuilderBot and JackStone worked out plan for the presentation. They made plans to construct a model bee box with a solar powered air-conditioner. That would represent their solution for their project.
Below is a video of a program that will help them Find the Agreement. They just need to work on finding their starting points at base.

January 2nd Meeting

Today was project day!
The team worked on a list of needed items for their presentation and did a final vote on the presentation title. Awesome Girl will be making a clay model of a queen bee for the presentation and most of the other materials are items easily aquired from around the house.

Also discussed was interviewing and how they can elaborate upon some basic answers. They thought a bit more info about themselves and trying to answer more clearly were definitely needed.

Homework for tomorrow? Pick a new mission to create a program and attachment (if necessary) for.
